Project Overview
This project involved the installation of NEMA controllers on six existing street lights along Jalan Kota, Taiping, Perak. The retrofit enables the existing lighting infrastructure to be integrated into a smart lighting management system, providing improved control, monitoring and operational efficiency.
By upgrading the existing street lights instead of replacing the complete lighting infrastructure, the solution provides a practical approach to introducing smart lighting capabilities while making use of existing assets.

THE CHALLENGE
Upgrading Existing Lighting Infrastructure
The existing street lights were already installed and operational, but required a smarter method of control and monitoring. Replacing the existing lighting infrastructure would involve additional equipment, installation work and cost.
The challenge was to introduce smart lighting functionality while maintaining the existing street light infrastructure and minimizing disruption to the site.

LED Vision installed NEMA controllers on six existing street lights along Jalan Kota. The controllers provide the connection required to bring the existing lighting points into a smart lighting management system.
