Program Khidmat Masyarakat (CSR)

The spirit of community engagement thrives as we persist in our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) through the Program Khidmat Masyarakat. In collaboration with industry partners, our focus has shifted to the Melaka River program, a concerted effort orchestrated by the Office of the Assistant Vice Chancellor – UTeM Industry & Community Network. Partnering with the Melaka River And Coastal Development Corporation (PPSPM), we aim to contribute to the preservation and enhancement of the iconic Melaka River.

Distinguished guests at this collaborative initiative included YB Khoo Poay Tiong, Member of Parliament for Malacca, and Prof Raha Abdul Rahim, the esteemed Vice-Chancellor of UTeM. Their presence underscored the importance of such collaborations in bridging academia and community development.

The indispensable role played by the Backpackers Adventure Team, an integral part of the program, deserves special mention. Their dedication and enthusiasm have significantly enriched our CSR efforts, making a positive impact on the Melaka community.

As we navigate these waters of collaboration, we remain committed to fostering sustainable initiatives that not only benefit the community but also exemplify the strength found in partnerships between academia, industry, and the local community.
