The theme of the inaugural International Conference on Smart Community & Industry 2019 (ICSCI 2019) was “Bridging the Gap between Academic and Industry in Accelerating Industry 4.0 and Smart City.” This groundbreaking event marked the first-ever convergence of academia, industry, government agencies, and the state of Melaka, all working collaboratively to address the imperative for a smarter community, city, and industry.

ICSCI 2019’s primary objective was to facilitate a dynamic exchange between experts from academia and industries. The focus was on sharing knowledge, exploring applications of new technologies, and exchanging experiences in integrating existing technologies and facilities. The aim was to propel industries towards greater productivity and foster the development of smarter communities capable of meeting the challenges posed by Industry Revolution 4.0.
