What is traffic light accessories
Traffic lights accessories are a set of items that will cooperate with traffic light in the traffic system for control all the movement on the road. Without the traffic light accessories, the traffic system will crush down and always cause accident to occur. The normal function of traffic lights requires more than slight control and coordination to ensure that traffic moves as smoothly and safely as possible and that pedestrians are protected when they cross the roads. A variety of different traffic light accessories are used to accomplish this, ranging from simple clockwork mechanisms to sophisticate computerized control and coordination systems that self-adjust to minimize delay to people using the road, as well as to save time and ensure the flow of traffic can be smooth.

Pedestrian controller and countdown lamp is example of traffic light accessories. The users are mostly pedestrian want to walk across the road. Provisions for detecting these users are demand buttons. It include a button which must be pressed in order to activate the timing system. Importance of traffic light accessories
In 2015, 5376 pedestrians were killed in traffic accident. This averages to one crash-related pedestrian death every 1.6 hours. Additionally, almost 129,000 pedestrians were treated in emergency departments for non-fatal crash-related injuries in 2015. Pedestrians are 1.5 times more likely than passenger vehicle occupants to be killed in a car crash on each trip. Beside that, the pedestrian ages 65 and above accounted for 19% of all pedestrian deaths and an estimated 13% of all pedestrians injured in 2015. Beside that, in 2015, one in every five children under the age of 15 who were killed in traffic accidents were pedestrians. From the statistic above, it have shown that a good traffic light accessories such as the pedestrian controller and pedestrian countdown lamp are urgently needed to solve this critical problem to prevent more accident to occur.
